Provisions for the stretcher of a stretcher into a survival craft in the SOLAS Convention

Section 3 of Chapter 3 of the 1983 Amendment (Collection and Boarding Arrangement of Survival Boats) Section 6 Requirements: The lifeboat collection and the boarding point of the davit landing shall be such that the patient on the stretcher can

be carried into the survival craft (in 1996). The amendments to the lifeboats for free landing have been added to the annual amendment. This article applies to passenger ships and cargo ships.

Other relevant provisions for the survival arrangement of survival craft in the SOLAS Convention

SOLAS74 Convention, Article 29, paragraph 9, and Article 36, paragraph 8: The equipment for landing the lifeboat that is to be lowered by the davit should be placed and tied to the ship's side so that the occupants can safely board.

SOLAS74 Convention 1983 Amendment, Chapter 3, paragraph 11 of the requirements of paragraph 8: Where necessary, means shall be provided for the survival craft that landed on the davit to be fastened and tied to the ship's side so that personnel can safely board; Requirements for paragraph 17 of Article 17: Rescue boat boarding and recovery devices shall permit safe and efficient handling of stretcher patients;

SOLAS74 Convention 1983 Amendment, Article 22, Section 1.1 Requirement: On passenger ships, the design of the boarding arrangement shall be suitable for: all lifeboats boarding and landing directly from the storage or boarding deck (but not from two Boarding and landing).

SOLAS74 Convention 1983 Amendment, Chapter III, Article 33 requires that the boarding arrangement of the cargo ship's survival craft should be designed so that the lifeboat can be directly boarded and landed from its storage position.
